Learn how Daily Core News uses essential cookies and similar technologies to operate, protect, and improve the website.

This Cookie Policy explains how Daily Core News uses cookies and similar browser technologies. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored by a browser when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags, and device identifiers. They can maintain a session, protect forms, remember choices, measure readership, and support advertising.

Cookies and technologies we use or plan to use

CategoryExamplesPurposeTypical duration
Strictly necessarylaravel_session, XSRF-TOKENMaintains secure website state, supports authentication where applicable, and protects forms from misuse.Usually about two hours, subject to session configuration and browser behavior
Analytics_ga, _ga_<measurement-id>Google Analytics distinguishes browsers, maintains session information, and measures how readers find and use the website.Up to two years by default; may be shortened or prevented by settings and consent choices
AdvertisingGoogle and partner cookies or identifiersAfter AdSense is activated, these technologies may deliver, limit, personalize, measure, and protect advertising.Varies by provider, purpose, consent, and browser settings

Cookie names can vary if our configuration or a provider's technology changes. Advertising cookies are listed as planned technology and are not currently active because Google AdSense has not yet been enabled.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is currently used for audience and website-performance measurement. It may receive page and interaction details, referral information, browser and device data, approximate location, and technical identifiers. Analytics cookies are nonessential. Where consent is required, their storage should follow the choice made through the website's consent controls.

You can delete or block Analytics cookies in your browser or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking Analytics does not prevent you from reading Daily Core News.

Google Search Console

Google Search Console helps us monitor indexing, crawling, and aggregated performance in Google Search. Website ownership verification and Search Console reporting do not, by themselves, place an Analytics or advertising cookie on your browser through this application.

Google AdSense and consent

Daily Core News plans to use Google AdSense, but AdSense is not currently active. Before activation, we intend to configure the privacy messages and consent mechanisms required for the regions where advertising is served. This includes a Google-certified consent management platform for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland where Google requires one.

After AdSense is activated, available controls may include choices for personalized ads, non-personalized ads, advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization. Exact options depend on location and applicable law. See Google's explanation of cookies and our Advertising & Sponsorship Policy.

Embedded and external content

An article may link to or embed content from another provider. Embedded content can allow that provider to receive technical information or set cookies according to its own policy. A normal external link does not set that destination website's cookies until you visit it.

Managing your choices

You can use any consent or privacy message displayed on the website to manage nonessential technologies covered by that message. Most browsers also let you view, delete, or block cookies through privacy settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent forms, login sessions, comment features, or security protections from working properly.

Consent choices are specific to the browser and device used. Clearing cookies or using a different browser may require you to make a new choice. If a consent option does not work as expected, contact us so we can investigate.

Do Not Track and opt-out preference signals

Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not interpreted consistently across services. Where applicable law requires recognition of a supported opt-out preference signal, we will process it as required. Essential cookies remain available because they are needed to operate and secure the website.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when website technology, Google services, advertising status, or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
